Scaffold Education Canada (SEC) is a leading organization dedicated to providing high-quality scaffold training and safety education across Canada. SEC has been established to set a new benchmark in scaffold training, replacing traditional systems and ensuring that training is fully aligned with Canadian standards and industry needs.
SEC is managed and overseen by a team of highly experienced professionals who, together, bring over 150 years of combined experience in the Canadian scaffold industry. This deep industry knowledge allows us to deliver training programs that are practical, relevant, and designed for real-world applications.
Our training programs are based on the CSA Z797-23 standards, along with Provincial Occupational Health and Safety regulations, Federal OH&S requirements, manufacturer specifications, and industry best practices. SEC is authorized to use the CSA Z797-23 standards, ensuring that our courses meet the latest safety and compliance requirements.
At Scaffold Education Canada, our goal is to provide training that is specifically tailored for Canadian scaffold professionals. Instead of adapting training from other countries, we focus on developing programs that meet the unique safety standards and working conditions in Canada.
We have developed new training programs and updated existing ones to ensure that all scaffold professionals are equipped with the knowledge and skills required to safely erect, modify, and dismantle supported access scaffold systems.
All SEC trainers meet or exceed the requirements outlined in CSA Z797-23 (Section 9.4), ensuring the highest level of instruction and safety education.
To ensure those who install, use and /or govern the use of scaffold and access equipment pursue the highest standard of safety, craftmanship, training and integrity.
